Kabul, Afghanistan - The ancient game of Buzkashi, which literally means "goat grabbing" is the national sport of Afghanistan. The goal is to get control of the headless carcass and bring it to the scoring area. The best players, (called Chapandaz) undergo a tremendous amount of difficult training and are usually over the age of 40. The horses that participate must train for five years before making it to the playing field. It is a dangerous sport and taken seriously by Afghans. November 3, 2006.
